What are orthotics?
The Science of Walking Comfort - Footlogics Orthotics
Footlogics is proud to offer a quality orthotic insole at an affordable price. Our products have helped many thousands of people in Australia, New Zealand, Europe and the USA suffering heel pain, ball of foot pain, knee or back pain and other biomechanical complaints.
Footlogics orthotics:
- are available in a range of shoe sizes
- come in various models for different shoe types and activities
- are odour-free and can be hand-washed
- are 'self-moulding' - i.e. they adapt to your footshape (because of body weight and body heat)
Footlogics orthotics re-align the feet and ankles. Based on years of biomechanical research, Footlogics orthotics were developed by Podiatrists (foot specialists) to provide longitudinal arch and metatarsal arch support of the foot and to correct body posture. Footlogics orthotic insoles greatly reduce overpronation, preventing foot strain and injury and providing excellent walking comfort. Engineered to perfection Footlogics uses the latest technology in materials to ensure the wearer both excellent support as well as pleasant cushioning. At Footlogics we are proud to offer our customers a high quality orthotic footbed at very affordable prices.
How can Footlogics orthotics help you?
An estimated 70% of the New Zealand population suffers from overpronation - that is the rolling inwards of the feet and ankles, and collapsing of the arches. Overpronation not only causes foot problems, it can to lead to an imbalance throughout the body and contribute to aching legs, knee pain - even lower back pain!
Developed by Podiatrists, Footlogics orthotics correct the problem of overpronation and restore our natural foot function, thereby helping to relieve heel pain, foot pain and many other complaints, including shin splints, aching legs, knee and back pain.
Who can benefit from wearing Footlogics orthotics?
Footlogics orthotic shoe inserts can be of great assistance to almost everyone; from children to the elderly, to professional athletes. Especially people who are on their feet all day (tradesmen, shop assistants, nurses, hospitality workers, teachers) will benefit from wearing orthotics.
Footlogics orthotic insoles benefit anyone with foot pain or discomfort - including high heel wearers - or people who have problems with their knees or back.
How do Footlogics compare to custom-made orthotics?
Custom-made orthotics are prescribed and made by a Podiatrist (foot doctor) to tailor the patient's indivdual foot problem. Custom orthotics can be very useful for people with certain specific foot conditions. Clinical studies have shown that when it comes to patient outcomes in the short term, in most cased there is not a lot of difference between custom orthotics and prefabricated orthotics. This suggests that using over the counter orthotics such as Footlogics can be a cost effective first step.
